Learn from them, don't try to become them.
People who want to become an exact copy of their idol, hero....they are actually pathetic.
I don't wanna be a Michael Schumacher look-a-like....lol!!!
Just for the record, I had only one beer when I wrote this...
one beer lol haha try the mexican style, a tecate, salt and lime in it. hehe
True at that, each person is unique and cannot be duplicated. I have never altered myself in any way to be like anyone. No gracias. As it is I got teased more than hell for the way i dressed and wardrobes I came up with in high school, it was painful, I know many have gone through that. I remember I went to school one day in nylons that had spiders and webs on them, some gang banger guys said i had em coming out of my legs. I don't understand mean people.

That is so typical... if you create your own style, a little different then "normal" standards, people treat you like an alien...
That is so narrowminded....
I like to think that they are scared about seeing/meeting something unusual, that's why they have to make degrading remarks about it, just to show off infront of their friends.
Probably they are too scared to try it themselves...lol!!!
This will always happen...certainly if your hobbies, intrests, work or whatever is a little different then the usual standard.
Don't let them get to you...it's not their fault they had a short of oxygen at birth...

I think I prefere a margarita cocktail though....

I too got teased so badly in high school for dressing differently. I loved spiked collars, black lipstick, purple hair and then I went for a retro look with lots of scarves, sweaters, red lipstick. I made my own jewelry, cut my hair in strange styles, I stood out. There is a saying in Japan "The nail that sticks up gets hammered down" meaning if you stand out you become a target. I had a hard time finding my way but I finally decided I didn't care. It doesn't matter what others think of me. I'm the one that has to live with myself and at the end of the day if I like myself, then that's all that matters. I still get teased for wearing bright makeup or having hot pink hair. But I've come to realize...I would be more upset if I went out unnoticed than if I went out and got commented on. As Mae West said "It's better to be looked over than overlooked!" I like standing out. It makes life fun ^_^

You are so right, Natalie...just live your own life.
You have every right to dress the way you like, wear make up in different colors, wear different hairstyles as much as you want.
Don't let others run your life.

Btw, you are a gorgeous woman, let nobody tell you otherwise.

good for you! its important to like yourself, theres no price to that, its the icing on the cupcake. . Its always a gamble, either you stand out and get teased or stand out and get praised. You are gorgeous and original! don't forget that. Crap, I remember my older brother telling me as a kid that Id never be one of those pretty girls that you see on a magazine. He had the nerve to see one of my pictures, and claimed it was "indecent" and a "cry for help. What an..ass! LOL. When I cut my hair short, he would say i looked "stupid", or the way i dressed. Ah well, just gotta rise above some people ya know. I love Mae West. My favorite quote of hers "when im good im good, when im bad, im better. haha.

Your brother is a nut. You already look like a pretty girl in a magazine, I don't know what he's talking about! :P I think some people just need to put down others to feel good about themselves. I'm glad that you are strong enough to rise above it and do your own thing. And let me just say...you do it well! You're not only gorgeous but smart, strong and awesome all-around! ^_^

Well, it is something that happens to a lot of people.
It's the sincerest form of flattery and I appreciate that some girls admire me to the point that they have to imitate me.

I am totally fine with inspiring girls with their photoshoots, makeup, tattoos and stuff like that.. that is cool! It's just plain creepy if a girl tries to just become you and pretend they never heard of you.. it's very creepy.. I'm inspired by a lot of great, beautiful women like Betty Page and Marilyn Monroe.. but I have never just tried to BE them and pretend they never existed!

I guess the girls that try to actually become me are hoping that no one notices.

They want people to think that they just happened to look like me and just happened to do the same exact photoshoots and poses.

THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED: I actually had a modeling agency tell me that one of their models went and got my arm tattoos and got surgery to look like me. They said when they commented on her "Masuimi tattoos" she said she had no idea who I was.

LAME.

There is another girl on myspace that has copied a lot of my photoshoots, even photos that were taken of me before she was 18, copied. When I say copied I mean everything from the poses, makeup, hair color, wigs and MY expressions! Nailed it. She's like my mini-me. Kinda trippy!

Oh well! There are a lot worse things happening out there!

I think your attitude about inspiring girls and being flattered by them imitating you is just fab. I do totally get how someone trying to be you would just be too creepy !
